What is Segwit?
SegWit is a soft fork upgrade to Bitcoin network which composes transactions considerably more efficient as well as secure. SegWit reduces the dimension of individual transactions which considerably perk up the Bitcoin network’s total capability.

Why you are so late on activating SegWit?
Some of our customers always confused Bitcoin Cash with bitcoin and sent payment to the wrong address belonging to opposite chain. After activating CashAddr support for Bitcoin Cash, we've decided it's time to implement SegWit as well for faster transactions and lower fees for our customers.
